Tsutenkaku
The symbol of Naniwa called“ Eiffel Tower in
Osaka”. A popular tower with an observatory
overlooking Osaka and a statue of Billiken, the
god who brings good luck by stroking the soles of

The origin of the name Tsutenkaku is“ a tall
building leading to heaven.” Named by Confucian
scholar Fujisawa Nangaku.
When it was established in 1912 (Meiji 45), it was
the tallest in the Orient. Later, it was dismantled
due to a fire and rebuilt in 1956 (Showa 31), and

Shitennoji temple
The first Japanese Buddhist temple built by
Prince Shotoku about 1400 years ago.In the
precincts, you can see the Shitennoji style
sangharama arrangement, which is one of the
oldest architectural styles in Japan, and it holds
many national treasures and important cultural
properties such as items from the time of its
foundation. Many of the Sangharamas burned
down Dou in the war and disaster, so the current
building faithfully reproduces the style of the
Asuka period at the time of its construction.
